I filmed the second part first, about 6 weeks ago and happened to be in the same key. When Anthony Minghella showed me the verses he wrote for this song I kind of rolled my eyes. But they've grown on me despite being out of character with the rest, and not really meaning anything. It was funny singing about the owl as some mysterious omen when this guy was just sitting there minding his own business.

I loved this song from cold mountain and was pleasantly surprised that the singer was not old and bearded. Not that it makes a difference, just kind of cool. Although the lyrical stylings were primo, I had a very nice laugh when the little/big one said :Daddy, you're scaring the owl". Hilarious!
