I dont think its a real steam locomotive. you wouldnt be able to unbolt the side of the smokebox. and there is no valve gear to time her pistons.

That's a great idea having the seat actually CONNECTED to the locomotive rather than sit on or in the tender. It looks like a pretty small space, though.

why are there parts from the smokebox and firebox missing??

It was incomplete at the time - it was brought so that it could be shown to the public. I haven't heard any word yet as to when the final touches will be complete, but it'll be uploaded for certain when this engine appears again.
