Ever since the 1920s, Volvo Trucks has given top priority to safety. One important part of that work is the many crash tests carried out every year. Come along on a visit to the crash factory.

  • it's great how Volvo cares to peolpe, but if you see, only at 30 kph, the driver legs had been destroid, and the steering well can cut the throat

  • It looks very dramatic on the film.

The drivers left foot had some bones broken, no other injuries.

The speed corresponds to 50kph in real life.

  • Thats fine, however a trailer can weigh up to a further 20,000 Kg's.

So that truck might way 10, and be badly damaged. So I am sure that 20,010 Kg's would cause some serious damage. Anyone agree?

  • @mindinsertion european reglementation is 40 to 45t truck and trailer included

  • @wengil494 thats why you always needs a bonnet with an engine underneath it. A reason why many 'flat front' vans do badly in crashes as well. There is practically nothing between the driver and the object being hit

  • 2:50 i would shit in my pants if when i wake up and look out in the window and then.....

  • The voice over guys sounds like an english peter cullen.

  • @looncraz only with the volvo engine, theres a reason nobody has them, almost all use the cummins, and dont have the problems

  • @wtfmanicanthaveaname It is odd you would have such problems with a Volvo truck. I know a few truck drivers and they all swear by Volvo trucks. Well, one hates them and prefers Peterbuilt, he just doesn't like Swedes though, for some reason....
