Dear friend,

Let me introduce you to Dealer, a four piece blues rock band from Scotland.

The band is headed up by Alan Wheeler (Former Hideaway Blues Band) who is the bands vocalist, lead guitarist and songwriter. Alan is regarded as the finest blues guitarist in Scotland and has an electrifying style reminiscent of masters like SRV and Joe Bonamassa. In fact Melody Maker Magazine paid him the ultimate compliment by comparing him to the late, great Jimi Hendrix. Alan was also guitarist for the late Jimmy Dewar (formally of Robin Trower Band)

The bass player, Ricky (also an excellent vocalist) is a man far travelled in blues circles, supporting the likes of Buddy Guy and Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Gary Moore, with his previous band The Hideaway Blues Band.

The bands drummer, Kenny has a powerful style with a rock edge that has landed him numerous sessions with other bands and an enviable reputation as one of the best drummers around. Alans understudy on guitar, Jamie, plays mostly bottleneck with the band and as regarded as an excellent guitarist in his own right. Blues Matters Magazine says He can really leather that Strat

Dealer have recently appeared on BBC Radios Paul Jones Show, as well as Playing the British Stage at The Great British Blues Festival at Colne.

They have supported and played along with acts such as:

Jimmy Dewar
The Yardbirds
Stan Webb and Chickenshack
Walter Trout
Andy Fairweather Low
Carl Palmer

As well as many other great bands.

  • Can I ask where this was filmed? Sounds like a great venue for the blues and looks a bit like the 02 Academy in Glasgow!

  • MINTED! if i ever get to see this band live I'll be a lucky man :)
