Interesting perspective and dont get me wrong I hope I am not sounding like a pessimist. I am pretty sure such shows themselves could be done or produced as you were saying but I am afraid the 70's order of living would not come to fruition in these years. It would make any productions like those shows off center albeit at the moment for sure. Peace

RIP Don Cornelius...

That era has gotten hit so hard I mean now with Don, Dick and Donna Summer. Its going to take work to resurrect Soul Train and even American Bandstand. For kids now they will know a very different world.

I was raised in Richmond California during the late 60's & 70's and i watched this show on Saturday mornings with my mother. and as a white kid, i must say i loved Soul Train. so i stopped by here to pay my respects to a man that gave us so much joy and entertainment dancing with my mom in front of our TV and digging the brotha's and sista's. rest in peace Don. sorry you had to take your own life. we will forever remember Soul Train. =]
