Haley has been training for SAR for about 3-months. We are working on her indication, a jump. She is learning the sequence of behaviors that she needs to do to get her toy. In this exercise, a Runaway, she stays at the subject, trying to figure out how to get her toys. Her Handler cues her back to him, and cues her to indicate. She returns, but does not indicate, trying again to get her toys. On the second attempt, she indicates, and finally gets her toys. This is a normal part of the learning process. She is learning that she has to indicate every time. To help her out, we step back in the "chain" and start her at the subject in the next video.
