The kidnapping of Jaycee Lee Dugard took place on June 10, 1991 and ended August 26, 2009. Dugard was abducted from a school bus stop within sight of her home in South Lake Tahoe, California. She was 11 at the time of her abduction, and was missing for over 18 years. On August 26, 2009, Dugard appeared in the office of her alleged kidnapper's parole officer in California, and her identity was confirmed the following day.

@spere88 No it's not. The only part that was "way off" was the end. Jaycee wasn't reunited with her stepdad at all. She was reunited with her mother. Despite her stepdad's "love" for Jaycee, she didn't really like him. He was very mean and critical of everything she did.

Actually, she was walking up the hill to the bus stop when a gray car showed up and she was stunned with a stun gun. She tried to get away while falling to the ground but she couldn't. The last thing she touched was a pinecone, in which in her book, was the last thing she had of freedom.

To me this girl is like a Saint ; so corageous and so beautiful. She knew how to be quite to protect her daughters. You are alive because God thought you how to act and be hamble till the end. Welcome beautiful young girl. You are safe now, this guy won't hurt you anymoe and anyone else.

but gotta give her props for surviving all this time and bringing her daughters thru too. the fact that law enforcement tottally failed her and her family from the minute she was kidnapped, focusing soley on her stepdad, rather then focusing on his description of the car and the woman, and then years upon years of neglect by this scumbags parole officers. i know she has a long road ahead of her, but i think with the people who love her by her side, she will triumph.
