Damn, he's good for the first try. Most people gun the gas and panic. Then they ram the nearest object. For your first bike, spend a little less on the bike and then use the difference to buy good gear. Helmet, jacket, pants, boot, gloves.

Yeah, we started out with none as he didnt go faster than walking speed in the parking lot, but as I had him star switching gears, I made him wear one and I would not let him go out on the street without one. He is a regular rider Today with 2 non serious accidents under his belt but a decent rider all the same.
