We need help. Is our daughter suffering from infantile spasms? She has these attacks now for over a week. Usually in the evenings. They last between 2 to 15 seconds and appear in cluster. We have been to hospital a few days ago. The EEG didn't show anything. Our daughter was born with a congential cataract. Now we are worried that there might be more to it.
My son has infantile spasms. These do not look like "typical" infantile spasms. This is not to say it could not be because I'm not a doctor. Looks like it could maybe be some type of seizure, but I would guess a partial seizure. Infantile Spasms' appearances differ from child to child and sometimes evolve over time with the same child, but most present as a startle reflex (arms and knees jerk and eyes roll) or a head drop. I hope you have found some answers by now.
Any news? My 7 month old son does something very similiar.
