BTW, it's very difficult to play this software guqin on a keyboard! Partially it sounds like a vietnamese Dan Bau, which is unusually to the guqin-sound.
The original sound of a guqin is naturally much much better (!!), but nethertheless -
I hope you enjoy it a little bit...

Yours,
Volker

  • 风中的蒙古? 没听过啊

  • @guzhanglong 号音乐被称为“风木兰”。

  • 该曲的 中文名字叫啥? 很好听。

  • @guzhanglong 谢谢!

  • this is the first time i enjoyed the scratching sounds, its usually the one thing that makes me listen less to guqin, but with you, its like you found a way to intergrate it into it, kinda like its gone through a fusion

  • @RoyalKiD90 That is very simple to explain: this here is a virtuel guqin, and there aren't much recorded scratching noises. ;)

Hope I could help you a little bit. And many thanks for watching, btw!!

  • @verdantTree Many thanks for your comment, my dear friend! That#S the point - the vibrato and scratching sound. There is no possibility to trigger the vibrato with aftertouch. It sounds too statical. But the best sound, I think, is the overtone-effect. It sounds very similar to the guqin.

    Thanks again, my friend,

and the very best regards to you,

    Yours,

    Volker

  • Holy crap I've been wanting see someone make a digital guqin for ages. Awesome. Now you just need to figure out how to make the string vibrato/scratching sounds ;)

  • @ijzerkoekie Thanks so much, my dear friend!! But do not overstimate it. I think, the "guqin-sound" here is not perfect, except the overtones, these are authentic.

    Thanks again, my dear ijzerkoekie!

    Best regards,

    Volker

  • Well, as to your comments under the video, to my untrained and inexperienced ear, it sounds absolutely wonderful. Reminds me of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (not the tune, but the imagery the instrument and melody it evokes). The video is beautiful as well. Thank you.
