This is from Obama's Rally for Change in Bloomington, IN April 30th. The sound quality is poor, but listen to the reaction from the crowd toward the end after rightly calls the summer gas tax suspension a 'gimmick'

  • It's 30 cents a gallon, moron. I don't know anyone who just uses a gallon a day. 30 cents a gallon at 25 gallons a week for 12 weeks gives me and other who spend at least that much $90.00. 25*.3*12=90

  • Umm...you should be careful when calling someone a moron. The federal gas tax is 18.4 cents a gallon. You are also overstating the number of miles an average person drives per week. Your numbers add up to nearly 500 miles per week. The average number of miles driven is closer to 300 I believe.

But, hey, it's much for fun to hurl insults than to get acquainted with facts and stuff.

  • "Considering that Senator Obama voted to suspend the gas tax three times when gas cost less than $2 a gallon and has an energy lobbyist chairing his Indiana campaign, it's hard to take his latest criticisms very seriously."
