this is the earliest piece of music / song that i can remember from my childhood, i would've been about 5 and i loved it but of course today it would be impossible for any bull to leave the arena without being butchered first. so as much as i think this song is harmless, in reality for the bull who finds himself in an arena death is the only thing that awaits it and spain should be ashamed for allowing this barbaric sport ( how they can call it sport, i don't know ) to continue

I always thought of this song as clean innocent fun, and yet now there's a bunch of idiots that try to pull the "race" card on this as well? What sad times we live in... e_e;

And my only amusement with the song was how Tommy Steele is so cockney, yet the children singing along are somewhat posh in the way they echo "li'l whi'e bool / little white bull"

I'm related to him, but only fairly distantly. I think he's my late grandad's cousin. Wish he'd support me! He does sound like a real gent, though.
