This is one of my 3 inch valves temproarily installed on my friends 51 Chevy truck. Motor is a 4200 vortec motor with turbo sitting on one of my billet steel cnc turbo manifolds.

Enjoy!

  • I'm thinking of either one of these, or a turbosmart race port for my 500whp bmw.

My only concern with this valve is the reaction time... it seems kind of slow in that video, but it's most likely just a bad example.

Can you post a video up of someone revving the motor repeatedly so we can get an idea on the speed of this thing?

High flow is great, but if it opens too late...

Looks like a very cool product though. Wish it had some sort of mesh on the ports.

  • He was closing the throttle slowly too. It snaps shut when you close it fast. Also you should bear in mind that it has a very large surface area even when the valve is just opened slightly. BTW have you seen my BMW turbo manifolds? Horsepower Freaks uses them on their E46 kit + I have one for the E36 now.

  • how about a wide open dyno run?? with about 30lbs of boost

  • This was a first dyno tuning run so he was going easy with it. His target is close to 800hp so I hope to be there to video those runs so you can see how it is at higher boost. After manufacture the valves are tested to 100psi with no leaks.

  • i like the sound it makes

  • Whats the name of it?

  • @derost Actually there are 2.5'' inline bov available; you can search for them at ebay. Thanks.

  • Does it sound like hks or better

  • This inline BOV is absolutely genius. It looks great, Ultra clean, and it works. my only concern is how you adjust it. What makes a good BOV a Great BOV is adjustabllity. Case in point, look at how long that thing stays open- Granted this is a Super charged Application and not a turbo so I'm not sure if that plays a role or not...

  • im confused, were exactly do you put it?

  • Soo basically this should work on diesels also? Groundbreaking design. We need those in Finland also so start mass production! :D

  • This looks like a great product, but I would like to hear what it sounds like. Something that worries me is, what if you dont have 3 inch pipes? This is probably much more efficient than a horn type BOV, but with those you can mount your flange on any sized pipe you need.

  • this is from a guy in canada... from steed speed..

  • what a great idea!
