ANother great launch... here we have ATLANTIS blasting off into space on a nice HOT Florida Afternoon. IT was a bit cloudy but no matter.. the view was still great and the SOUND is always amazing and PUMPS you up! Some CAR alarms always get pumped up too... or turned on! Enjoy! OFF to HUBBLE they go.

  • We were enroute from the U.K when this baby flew. They brought the launch forward a day (rarely happens). We got delayed in the U.K. too with plane problems and arrived after the launch. The landing got rained off too with a California touchdown in the end.

  • @spaceboosters that is very rare!

  • wow the end of an era. we should write to our congressman to have the shuttle program extended . also change from using the lowest bidder to using the best builder . money spent on nasa creates $17 for every one spent on it. not to mention advancing technology , this is change I can go for. this also creates reason for people to get educated which is what we need more of and less rap artist( I use the word artist loosely here)

  • @circusboy90210 AMEN!!!

  • Did they make an Imax movie about this in 3D?

  • I wish I WAS IN THE SPACE SHUTTLE!

  • My family and I watched the same launch from alongside the B'line Expy at the Indian River bridge near Cocoa Beach. It was awsome. The last time I was there for a launch was in 1990 when they scrubbed the Hubble Space Telescope launch. How ironic that coincidentally, 19 years later that I'm there to watch a launch to repair the Hubble. I was so worried that they might scrub it since it was my last chance to see a shuttle launch. Thx for the view.

  • Great shot man, very fortunate to be able to be in the VAB area... I dream of the day I get that opportunity

  • Nice video! You were pretty close to where we were actually but you didn't have the cloud in the way :) Great narration - you included the viewer to appreciate your enthusiasm. Thanks for posting! All the best, Bazza

  • the car alarms went off LOL... great vid!! :)
