A song by the (presumably?) defunct band "Tribe". The band was popular in Boston in the early 90's/ late 80's, and had 3 album releases; "Here at the Home", "Abort" and "Sleeper".

Terri and Eric (both members of the band) married when the band split, and joined Looking Glass Studio's (developers of the "Thief" and "System Shock" series), however Looking Glass closed in 2000.

The continue to work with Harmonix, who developed the earlier "Guitar Hero" (before Neversoft developed them) and "Rock Band". A Tribe song, "Outside" appeared on "Rock Band".

  • Awesome... I own this album (got it back when it came out), but I don't have the means to post things on youtube... I've been eager for someone to post the album version here, so thanks.

  • :], I put it on here to let others enjoy! Great band!

  • This track closes the album - and very good it is too. Another highlight of the album is 'Joyride' (I Saw The Film). The tracks sound very contemporary.

  • I've added it because I bought the album just for this song. I could only get the 30 second sample, its nowhere to be found! Apart from a live video...hopefully others can find this band now. Its a brilliant way to 'bring down' the album if you know what I mean!

  • HK,

I don't think "Easter Dinner," "Daddy's Home," "Serenade," "Tied," or "Jakpot" have their album versions on YT yet... so if maybe you wanted to be a hero who would be praised around the world by all discerning music fans, well, you know...

  • SleepyHollow your musical knight (me) shall ride out in shining armour waving a standard blazing with all the finest colours of music very soon.

I'll get them all uploaded sometime ;)

  • i can't believe i found this!! i used to have it! i swore i was their only fan!!

  • YES, this IS IN FACT "TRIBE" great band, too bad they fizziled out. Janet LaValley is the lead female vocalist, she won the Best of Boston female vocalist 2 or 3 years running back when these guys were in their hay day. Too bad it never evolved into something more national like say Amy Mann.

  • I was studying for my economics final in the NU cafeteria (spring semester 88) when I heard this angelic voice sing this song. I remember the band's manager telling people in the study hall one floor above where the band was playing to come and see them as the admission price was waived due to a poor turnout. I remember him saying that they were singing to a column and pleading for people to see them for free. I just had to see them. It was a great concert and the room filled up pretty fast.

  • @hellknightlizz thanks for doing that!

  • you can go to .... tribe online ... and get all sorts of "TRIBE" goodies there thanks to some wonderful people who took the time and effort to put it out there for the fans ... do yourselves a favor and check it out ... you'll be so glad you did

  • Thank you for posting this song! I heard only version from Here at the Home which is a bit different, but still it's one of my most favorite songs from them. Thank you again.

  • Somehow I lost this album, but I remember the melodies, instrumentations and Janet's voice. F'ing lucidly lovely. Many a girl was loved. thought of dearly, and lusted after to these tracks. A late high school/early college soundtrack. This whole album is tight, as I recall, and am now happy to re-experience. Thanks to hellknightlizz.

  • Huzzah! Huzzah! You are the greatest knight of Camelot!
