i am a kentucky fan but who could be mad at rick for leaving kentucky, anybody would have left for 70 million dollars. it didn't work out for him in boston and there was an opening in louisville so what was the man to do, besides we have coach cal now so it all worked out.  as far as his personal life that is between him and his wife and nobody else. as far as the rape allegations my heart goes out to him. false rape reporting has become an epidemic.

@USPSAman Probably? Pitino is now lucky to land one 5 star player a year. His best days are long behind him. Lets just hope he can stay out of the "clinic".

I wouldnt say that he has been washed up. i think he had a very bad year this year though. I have heard from someone that kind of knows his said he was pretty much done after the abortion thing went public. Supposedly that really got in his head and screwed him up this year. However he did leave his best years in kentucky. when he was there he created one of the greatest teams in NCAA history which is something he probably wont do in louisville.

Cal was found Not Guilty by the NCAA...I mean, how can he hold a kids hand 700 miles away while he takes the SAT? As for Pitino...he'll never win another title. His recruiting is getting worse and worse and now an elite 8 is fantastic for you guys. I even read on one of your sports boards how excited UL was to land some 2 star chump! Thats sad. And thats all UL has right now. UK has 5 star recruits lined up like woman at a UL abortion clinic. Pitinos best years are behind him. Fact.

Sir, you are wrong. The last two years Louisville went to the elite eight. I bet you out of ten match ups with MSU last year Louisville would win most of them, and that game was just a fluke. Pitino is nowhere near finished. You want to talk about a coach? It is sad that Coach Cal is getting so much praise and approval after he left two schools on probation. Fantastic coaching talent?? He's a has been, washed up old bag that left his best years at UK. He cant recruit like he used to, and cant even beat Charlotte or W. Carolina IN Louisville. UL's chances of winning a title are loooong gone. Pitino just cant get the talent needed to chases final fours anymore.

Whatever goes on in RP's personal life, it shouldn't have a great effect on the fans, because what we really love about Rick is his fantastic coaching talent. This whole situation is being too exaggerated, and we should just remember all the great things we've experienced with RP as our coach.
