[Android Gaming] Galaxy Hero (Shoot 'Em Up/RPG Hybrid)

Now THIS is an interesting hybrid genre this developer has used in his game. It's very interestingly put-together, addictive and has a lot of lasting appeal through it's RPG elements.

It's full, free, and the developer is very passionate about making sure it never becomes the ad-filled, paymium crippleware. This is the kind of developer you can't help but respect. Just give it a shot and see if you can't find enjoyment.

Radiant HD is okay, but it gets boring pretty quick.

I've noticed that you haven't tried out "Radiant HD" .. Check it out, I think you'll like it. it's like a Space Invaders type of game, similar to this one here but it utilizes the Xperia Play's controls & has a bit of a story to it.
