Looking back, Australian Idol may have been a good platform for aspiring artists, but it's all very cheesy, fake and plain strange when you really think about it. Love Matt though!

I'm personally glad he didn't win because if he had won we would not be who he is today. His music now is amazing and suits him way more than pop crap that Australian Idol would have forced him to sing. He's found his own style of music rather than being under a contract of Australian Idol who would have written his first "single" and Matt would have been another one hit wonder like the rest of Australian Idols.He is now an amazing musician making unique and DIFFERENT music.
