I successfully overclock an old P5 (586) 90MHz Pentium Processor to 100 and 120MHz to improve gameplay performance.

I had purchased this computer called a Compaq Presario 5536. I had always wanted to have an old computer for classic gaming projects and overclocking. I had found this one for $20 on-line. It came with all the original manuals and software in mint condition. Only the cases had wear on it. It apparently cost him $3000 in all when he bought it brand new in 1995. I believe it. The computer had almost 40 programs on it! BTW, it is built like a MAC. So when you see PCs at FutureShop built like a MAC, it's not the first of it's kind. Enjoy The Video!

Lol, I'm not from the 90's, but I can say that the overclock would have been helpful back then? I wouldn't know. lol

Yes, a 30MHz increase would not really show much if not any difference today, but back then, it would give a considerable performance boost in most cases for things like games (like in the video) or high end programs like CADs or graphical editing.
