airzound vs dappy women

Very annoyingly, the ATK2000 (my helmet camera) seems to cut up the video every so often, stopping it from filming for a few seconds. Thankfully, it started right at the start of this incident. I accept this could be seen as me signalling her across, then not stopping and cutting the scene cleverly to make it look like there was a problem. I didn't do this, but if think what you like.

Anyway, finishing my ride. Quite busy the road and this women decides to try and jump out in front. Thankfully the airzound (horn) won and she stopped - I did brake too but when she stopped going I carried on in front (video doesn't really capture this).

I don't really know why she decided to go, She had to have seen me. She probably looked right and saw red lights and just assumed that she should be let out. There was no reason for me to stop for her at the point she tried pulling out.

Good thing I had the horn as I might have been over her bonnet!

@glazierEd by the traffic lights? That's just what they do. I guess a warning not to overtake, etc..

my atc3k does funny things sometimes... I'll press record and it'll cancel after 3 seconds in. So what I always do is start the recording and make sure it counts past maybe 6 or 7 seconds.. then stick it in the mount.

What memory card are you using (size and make)?

Never had that problem. Using a 2GB card from sandisk. It seems to every 30min (or so) cut the scene and start two .avi files. Never really mattered, just annoying because it cut about 3-5 seconds, which had it been a few moments later would of been the entire incident.

Definitely :).  If i'd of yelled she probably wouldn't have stopped and I'm of been fuming for the rest of the ride.

@thomase1 it's similar to digital camera, when you try to make more shots at the same time, camera just record 30 minutes or something like that, and then saves it and make new file, that's why you're missing couple of seconds... you could try with faster memory card if it helps

I'm gobsmacked how some of these people have licenses... they should be tested every couple years!! ...If they're not up to driving responsibly, bye bye license. Better this than to hurt or kill someone!!

It probably cuts out because it reaches its file size, with some cameras and SD cards there is a limit on how big the file can be, so when it reaches the limit, it cuts out and starts a new file.

Sometimes my atc2k needs the memory card and batteries removed and popped back in.

A sort of "turn it off and turn it back on again"

Yeah I've never had problems with the sandisk cards either. Must be something with the firmware of the camera itself. Perhaps an email to OS could clarify if theres a possible solution?
