Michael Bryant! My Dog Votes Rally, Queens Park, Toronto

Michael Bryant enacted Bill 132 August 29, 2005. The battle continues to repeal this senseless law that is resulting in the slaughter or our canine friends.
Someone must stand for them, march for them, speak for them and defend them. So the battle contines....
We are a "Band of Brothers". We are in the trenches of a battle against BSL. We "soldier" on fighting for our rights & our family friendly dogs lives. We battle against the erosion of the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms. We do not believe that Michael Bryant had the mandate to subject us, based only on our dog's looks and a "whipped vote", to search & seizure without a warrant. We know if racial profiling is wrong, then so is canine profiling. We fight against discrimination based only on looks, not on disposition or temperament. We fight that we, as dog owners, are now automatically guilty in a court of law & must now, for the first time in Canadian history, prove ourselves innocent. We are a "Band of Brothers" soldiering on against this discrimination and prejudice. Italy now at 93 banned or restricted dogs. We are in the front lines for all dogs as this cancer continues to grow from a lack of knowledge and intelligence. We are FOR responsible dog ownership. Say NO to BSL

Yes, don't forget BSL in Ontario exists for dogs that even LOOK LIKE a pit bull. Breed Specific Laws roots stem from hatred, bigotry, prejudice and ignorance. It must be fought, and education and awareness will be key in doing that.
