A small slideshow with some Tibetan Thangka's. A collection of Thangka's brought back from Nepal by Jim Franklin, a Bozeman resident.
The colors, detail and beauty of these paintings have to be seen to be fully appreciated.

Music by Robert Gass. "Om Namaha Shivaya"

Enjoy.

  • In 2000, I had a cassette recording of this beatiful rendition. But in the cassette, it went on for abt half an hour or more brfore fading out. A German woman gave it to me. She was my yoga teacher. Whenever I hear this, I remember her teaching yoga to me. I used to visualize her doing different yogasanas as well.

I esp remember the relaxation technique she used with me and the other people who attended her classes. So nice. I would be out for 15 minutes. LOL

  • @zuccero Um, Mahadeva Shambo (Shiva) is acknowledged in Nyingma Buddhism....

  • @Scotty1137 There can't be only one religion, since each and every mindstream is completely unique. But that statement does not make some religions better than others, since only each individual can know what they need. Different people need different paths adapted to their mindstream which guide them towards compassion and wisdom. • Wow !!!!!!!

  • @zuccero It is not Hindi, it is Hindu and Shiva does have a presence in the Tibetan Buddhism as Mahakala. Those thangkas are actually showing paintings of Shiva-Shakti aswell as the Buddha.

  • @zuccero sorry did not mean to give you a thumbs up I only meant to give the mantra a thumbs up
