  • I can see why ratings have been disabled for this video. It's not in the least bit interesting to sit and wait for someone to go downstairs and listen to the wind in a microphone. I can appreciate what you're trying to do but figure out what's interesting to watch and make the video. K.

  • @Akbaaz My purpose was to provide information to those people who are willing to wait. Also, there is enough time for a person to open their copy of "Five Lessons" and check the facts.

  • Can you in words describe what it is that you are doing.I just need confirmation that I am understanding this correctly.

    Thanks

  • @secretogolf In the video I am laying out the geometry I uncovered in "Five Lessons." For the purpose of swinging the club and communicating the correct motions I find the angle works well. If, at address, the angle (Hogan's Angle) is a mental picture a template for the correct actions is created.

  • @secretogolf The drawing on this page golfwrx.com/forums/topic/559067-has-hogans-heros-helped-anyones-game/page__st__30 shows many of the connections between Hogan's Angle and Five Lessons.

  • Most golf instruction applies shapes to the swing from outside the golfers perspective. The swing cube is a good example of instruction which helps the instructor use video to inform the golfer of what ought to be happening, from the instructor's perspective. Hogan's Angle, the angle in the video, can be visualized from your perspective. The line from the right toe, through the ball, establishes plane, the line from the left toe, to the apex, establishes arc--both are from your perspective.

  • i am confused,im not sure i understand whats going on in this video.i have never read hogans book, maybe that will help........

  • Yes-I see what you are doing and that you put a good deal of thought into your idea. What I was hoping for was a Basic Summation of the Key points,The Big Picture. Then I believe if I rewatch the video I can pull together the various elements that lead to the main idea.I'd appreciate this. It's just how I learn best and I think you really have something worth learning.

  • Just hit balls today, that right hand paddle move works. with that motion in mind, The ball starts to the right slightly of target and then draws back to the target, worked for me. And I was havin trouble slightly pulling shots, so that was a welcome shot to see. Great observation of that angle going out to the right.

  • For someone who is real right hand dominant, this makes alot of sense. Someone years ago wanted me to swing out to the Right, Watch the right hand 2 handed paddle move that is made, I can see this now. I took up a club and tried to swing it like that in that direction, it made alot of sense. I will be curious to see what happens with this in mind hitting actual golf balls. What a great observation of Hogan's modern fundamentals of Golf.
