This is a video "thank you card" for a cool model catapult kit. I guess it's really an onegar - or maybe a torsion mangonel - but this is what I always thought of as a catapult.
After the intro/teaser, there is about 4 minutes of cut up video showing the build and then one minute firing at a domino tower.
This was filmed w/ a midline 1080p HD video recorder then edited in iMovie. I am disappointed with the digital artifacts and am sure that there is a way to avoid them - but I couldn't figure that out. So if you have suggestions, please leave them in the comments - thanks!
Finally, a big Thank You to Will and Judy for such a cool Christmas present - I am so taken with the torsion spring that I am going to build a small (10") ballista from the plans in the catapult book that you also gave to me. So thanks!
what type of microwave did you use to record this vid?

Nicely done, I'd like very much to have a book that shows how to build siege weapons... I am trying to make some on my own as well, so far I have a small catapult and a bigger Onager, and I am also making a Trebuchet with Bral (it's like Meccano, steel bars, that kind of construction kits :D).
