Cesc's hamstring feeling fine. Fabregas 'felt great' upon return to action following injury.

Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has confirmed he suffered no adverse reaction to his hamstring injury upon his return to action on Tuesday night.

Fabregas sustained the problem in the Gunners' 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light a month ago.

And he made his comeback in the emphatic 5-1 UEFA Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk, marking the return with a goal from the penalty spot.

"I wanted to have 60-70 minutes. It was a good test. I didn't feel anything," Fabregas told Sky Sports.

"I felt great, so that is good news."

Fabregas reflected on the triumph before focusing on a crunch game in the Premier League this weekend which sees Arsenaltackle second-placed Manchester City.
He said: "It is not about goals, it is about the performance, and I think we did well tonight.

"This was obviously an important game, we weren't thinking about the weekend.

"But now we are going to be focused on a very important game. We have to be ready for it, it is going to be massive. We have to get all three points."
