"Hurry! Dad's gonna get sick!" XD

There all drunk! =O

Neat-oh! I was talking to a guy who is the director of a famous haunted house that has one of these and he said that that was the secret to it. He said if you walk backwards it's twice as disorienting.

That is just priceless. You could never sell the idea any better than did your visitors. It's amazing how they all hug their left handrail, so susceptible to the illusion.

Don't the dots/stripes on the tunnel get thinner or smaller as you walk through. Is that what creates the effect?

No, the dots and stripes are all about the same size. The real secret to the illusion is to eliminate all outside references, the only thing they see is the bridge they're on and the rotating walls, the mind does the rest.

The tunnel cost about $1000 to build ($400 lumber, $200 drive system, $100 lining, $200 hardware, $100 canopy), I know that's a lot to spend for a home haunt but I'd do it again in an instant. People absolutely love it!
Just a note, the walking surface people are on is absolutely level, they are stumbling about because of the effect of the rotating tunnel.
