Legal encyclopedias are multi-volume sets of books that: provide short overviews of legal issues; are kept up-to-date by pocket parts and supplements; and are located on the main floor of the UCI Law Library.
To use a legal encyclopedia: 1) find the title using the catalog or browsing the shelves upstairs; 2) check the index; 3) look over the outline of your section 4) read the narrative and footnotes, checking for citations to primary law and 5) check for updates in the pocket part or supplement.
