Karl Jenkins: Adiemus
Carmina Slovenica
Orchestra Chorus Instrumentalis

Author of the project and conductor: Karmina Šilec

Adiemus occupied the imagination of the music-lovers all over the world. Therefore this musical work was one of the most saleable albums and reached the scale tops of classical as well as ethnical music.

Karl Jenkins' popular vocal-instrumental work Adiemus belongs to a sort of symphonic music with a touch of ethnic music. To define Adiemus is the best way to denote it as a "new age" or "progressive" music.

Adiemus is formed of a many different kinds of melodies, distinctive harmonies and minimalistic repetitions of musical themes, that Jenkins shaped into an expanded choral work.

  • Breathtaking I must say. Actually I'm really interested in choir singing. I've travelled across various festivals and competitions around the world and I've never heard something so specific and beautiful. According to me there are only two choirs which can be at least compared to this one: Tapiola Choir from Espoo (Finland) and Chorknaben Uetersen from Uetersen (Germany)-but it is boys choir. I'd really like to have one copy of higher quality. Anyway, I give those girls S.O. Bravo!

  • FuLLLL dobro 100/10*!* :)
