i gotta lol at this. this intro sucks. and it doesn't even show the macross until the very end the dumbest thing was the blond girl with the gun when she shot it then shows green Zentraidi ships blowing up. just what the fuck. the Macross blew them up with it's massive energy cannon not some girl with a tiny gun that's just retarded

ahh Robotech will always be Robotech. Robotech will always be one of the best anime ever made, that and the U.C. Gundams.

@AICNMurderMostFowl Yeah, I've been reading these comments by people saying all of the original intros were better. The Southern Cross one in particular is LAME, but even the other two are pretty weak, with none of the heroic presence of what Ulpio Minucci did with this theme.

But yes, even beyond the intros, the integrated soundtrack used by Robotech is far better than what is found in the source material.

As a life long fan of Macross and Robotech, I can say that the Robotech is better than Macross in one areaL theme song. The Macross theme just doesn't fit with the rest of the show.... it's almsot like a 1940's radio program theme song, or a 70's lounge singer. I just never understood why they did it. Robotech did it right for that!
