In glimpses and in glaring detail, the videotape images reveal the robust presence of disguised officers or others working with them at seven public gatherings since August 2004.

The officers hoist protest signs. They hold flowers with mourners. They ride in bicycle events. At the vigil for the cyclist, an officer in biking gear wore a button that said, "I am a shameless agitator." She also carried a camera and videotaped the roughly 15 people present.

Beyond collecting information, some of the undercover officers or their associates are seen on the tape having influence on events. At a demonstration last year during the Republican National Convention, the sham arrest of a man secretly working with the police led to a bruising confrontation between officers in riot gear and bystanders.

Until Sept. 11, the secret monitoring of events where people expressed their opinions was among the most tightly limited of police powers.

  • They did the same thing at Kent State.

They do this at every rally to confuse the issues and cast protesters in negative light. A lighting rod to arrest and detain.

Protests are only now a means of identifing the uncooperative.

  • this could be very bad with future peaceful protests.

  • its funny how old people are controlling all of us with there pussy cops there are some good cops out there i know a few but allot of them are jerks and monsters

  • OMG, seriously? They wore police issued boots? :) Come on guys, you can be more creative than that!

  • @furyofbongos I was going to post this exact same response.Any arrest in the united states and it would have been a matter of public record of who was arrested.that and the fact that if one commits a "crime" while trying to hide their identity imposes stiffer penalties. So yes even though they were under cover "they"are the one's who should have actually been arrested for trying to incite a riot.

  • "Police declare war on Americans, they want to hurt, maim and kill citizens, by any means necessary," according to a CNN cable news report which aired today, based on the growing problem of police brutality against everyday law abiding citizens.

  • @LadyStonecut this sux we cant fight back because they would label us a terrorist or somthing else the people need to take drastic steps to insure the preservation of the peoples goverment not there goverment OUR goverment!

  • Because they would not reveal the 3 who were "arrested" which would be publicly available information, it proves that they were police agent provocateurs.

Also, if the 3 were civilians, they would have been grabbed immediately and not after being allowed inside the police line for their safety.

  • well , this is and has been the normal for many years . its just that the some people are just now becoming aware of it. the whole game is manupilated and have been since the day u were born. just remember 1 thing, goverments are there to protect the big business. not the small man in the street.

  • did the same on the london marchthe other month, filmed by the bbc.lol

  • LMAO CAUGHT THEY AZZ

  • AAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!! Good eyes people!

  • They are not cops anymore to protect the public, they are mercenaries to protect the corporate NWO.

  • and people think they serve the public. from what ive seen most only serve three things. there own cop gangs, there paychecks, and the gov that tells them what to do

  • @tubetib exactly

  • i live in scotland and loved canada dearly but not now

  • This is going on all over. It's a tactic police forces use now. I guess it's job security and it fits right in with what they usually do.

The police are the criminals in this upside down world.

  • And after that they ask us to trust the police.

  • @longpecker1 it's a shame, America already has folded to the police state. Just wait until the next big "event" - whatever that may be...another staged terror attack, purposefully released virus, natural disaster...the list goes on. Martial Law will be declared - if that's not a police state, I don't know what is.

  • This always goes on. Classic Delta Force Tactic. Don't want a protest? send in some "undercover" agents to stir up violence, move the riot police in and disperse the crowds, simple. Happens every single time, there is no such thing as peaceful democratic protest, if you think there is, then i'm sorry, you're just plain wrong.

  • wake up america!!!! Dont fold to the police state!

  • @JudahKhan im not in any kind of disagreement, however; use your language more carefuly. Don't legitimize the argument of "uncooperative". This is about consent. The language is that protesters are denying consent to the opulent. Democracy requires dissent and consent to work. Yes, this is the dummy of facism. Denying the right of dissent to find cooperative consent. It's the leaders of this charade that are not cooperating with democracy.

  • Some say 911 is a bigger version of the same concept. The powers that be doing things destructive and making people believe it was others that did it. The top executives are very scary people. And worse part is alot of them are armed with nukes.

  • how paradoxical... creating the very thing you pledge to prevent
