When HGTV shot this video... they couldn't capture the stars on the camera the way they looked to their eyes, so to enhance them for the camera... they had to turn on a black light. That was fine, but you still can't get the real look of how nice these murals are. Plus, the black light lights up the room which totally takes away from the look of the night sky. The real thing in a room is incredible... and something that you just have to experience.
Just quick note to people watching this video. There are many others who do similar types of murals... and they add in stencil figures and planets to their murals. That is nice for some people, but our goal is to create murals of real night skies that you would see from any dark spot on earth.
The stencil things are nice (and not that there's anything wrong with that)... but we prefer stunning realism in our murals.
Jeff is heading to California to paint this week... and will then be going to Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Texas, New Jersey, New York and Tennessee, all before the end of the year. He's pretty busy these days! He's harder to find than Waldo.
Hey, if anyone wants to see one of these murals in Texas, NIGHTSKY MURALS has painted them in our cabins at Canyon Lake. Just ask for a view of the Texas NIght Sky at the Bunk Haus! We love this You Tube video guys! Just hope you can get more exposure for your fantastic product. Our guests love the cabins with the Night Sky.....they totally freak out when the lights go down! They never expect it to be so real.
Thanks for the comment. I have to tell you that I had a great time at your resort and tubing down the Guadalupe river with you guys. Thanks for that great Texas hospitality. I'm glad to hear that your guests have liked the murals! OH... and thanks for introducing me to Rudy's BBQ!!!
I like the comment about how he enjoyed it so much and yet it's not fattening, illegal, or immoral. I certainly got to have one. (Maybe we better make sure its not illegal).
