In Thy Image - Part Five (aka What if Star Trek: The Motion Picture was a TV Show?)

What if Star Trek: The Motion Picture was an episode of the classic series? Here's the fifth segment of my fan edit.

One thing that my wife and I noticed very clearly once I completed this rough edit, is that when all the special effects are removed, and the story pared down to the V'Ger plot with the Kirk and Decker character arcs as the only other subplots, the basic story is very, very similar to "The Changeling" with a few elements of "Doomsday Machine" thrown in. The role of the Ilia probe and of Nomad once it comes aboard are virtually interchangeale, and it's interesting how the story demanded a "cipher" that the crew could relate to.

@AspergianMind I took his music out of there as much as possible. Jerry's score is excellent - but putting in the TV music is key if you want to change the tone to a small screen experience.
