  • fords answer to the hemi in the 60's, 90 day crash course to build an engine that would take it out in nascar, and they built this beast based off the 427 side oiler hahaha, if u read the history, ppl were scared shitless of this engine. u see y? to bad nascar didnt allow it, so they threw it in nhra, and dominated. First On Race Day baby.

  • @fonzoayala88 Yup, Chrysler and GM had it banned due to whining it made to much power. If I remember correctly for every 6 laps around daytona it was lapping the hemi based off times.

  • I went to the drags in the 60's and the sohc's were very bad machines. Dyno don, Mickey Thompson and the many others that ran them were very tough to beat. The hemi heads are awesome with the very large valves. They won't even allow overhead cams in top fuel today?

  • Look at thing dance!!!! Talk about power!!!!

  • F*$C* a Hemi..Cammers Rule..that Blue Oval piece went over 240 in 1966....

  • 1471 retro SSI, about 38lbs, we have a custom crank with a chevy diameter and ford fe length made for us at moldex. then we mount a crank support on the front cover. never had a problem (have spun it 10,5)

  • is that a 1471 blower??? how much boost if so? also what kind of cranks do you guys have i met a guy in ripley oklahoma that has a bunch of those motors infact a don the snake prudomme top fuel motor and he was saying the cranks were the weakest link when it came to blowers
