CNN: Don Lemon-white people can't dance

Ummm ... I thought this was post racial Obamerica. He asks a white guy why he thinks he can dance? Ummm ... hope and change I guess.

I seriously doubt he was trying to be racist. It is a bit odd to see white people who can dance as well as people who were brought up on R&B and Hip-Hop music, because:

1) In some segments of the white community loose-bodied dancing is seen as "uncivilized". Hence why conservative whites in the 20s-50s used to think black Jazz and Rock dancing was "primitive"

2) In the 80s and 90s people who listen to Rock largely stopped dancing and started raving

It's a cultural thing, not a racial thing.

@9zreed - Well, I've heard people say stuff like "A black guy that likes Heavy Metal?" It's kind of the same vein of comment like Don Lemon's comment (a common stereotype) but I didn't take it that the person who said it was necessarily racist against black people. I've heard that like 4 times before about one of my friends and I just chuckled. Lol

@9zreed - I hear what you're saying and you do have a point. America is still a racist society that has sterotypes of how certain people should supposedly act. But I honestly don't think he was trying to be racist. It would have been weird to be intentionally blatantly racist to the face of members of the "race" you're trying to be a racist toward. Lol

@A86 I love Don Lemon and I still think it is a sign of how racism is deeply entrenched in our mindsets. If someone said black people don't succeed in college as much or even alluded to it, it would be seen as racist, even though the person could use the defense that is a cultural thing that is residual from a past lack of access to education. As a white person, who can't dance, I feel offended, but I don't blame Don Lemon for it. it is still a stereotype tho

@EZASOMO its amazing that jesus was talking specificly about gays getting married, during a time in a country where it is unheard of. Jesus said we should live like him, he loves all even his enemies, even homos, Its clear you have a deep seaded hatred for homos, which is unacceptable and an ideal that is not in line with jesus ,only satan uses hate

@EZASOMO mark 10:1-10:12 is almost word for word the same as matthew 19:1-19:12. He dosnt mention gays at all, in either book. If he is talking about gays getting married y does he not say even 1 line about his views of man and man.

@EZASOMO Jesus message is very clear, if you cant see it or choose not 2 its still there. Love is the way not hate. He doesnt even mention man on man or woman on woman as an abomination. "The Lord Jesus didn't say that a MAN will leave his FATHER and MOTHER and be cleaved 2 another MAN. NO, NO, NO!' your right he dosnt say 2 men can be joined together, bc he isnt talking about 2 men getting married, hes talking about a legal divorce in the laws of moses even tho god saw it as adultry
