  • Hmmmm Good explanations, but at 2:30 he says "it hasn't got a name" I wonder why he doesn't mention clave? THE KEY...hello? No mention of 2-3 or 3-2 clave at all. And yes the title says 2/3 meaning 2 of 3 leads me to think there are more "Cuba" segments to this clip, too. I am assuming the title is referring to 2-3 clave, as the example given, El Guantanamo is in 2-3 direction. And how bout his pronunciations of the different rhythms.."Gwa-kankco" hehehe no mention of Changui (pre-Son)

  • How does the rytmic parts connect in this nice serie How music works - Rhytm. There is part 1,2 and 3. Then I found this Cuba 2/3. Does this mean that there is two more cuban part (1/3 and 3/3)? Ande there is one part called Accent & syncopation. Is there more extra parts to the Rhytm theme of the serie "How music works" with Howard Goodall?

  • excellent DOC brilliant

  • This is really cool, very interesting and educational! I just stumbled onto this by accident.

  • :D Fortunately the rest of the world has a sense of humour about cuba. Makes it a lovely place to visit.

And communist ditatorships do have some uses - someone has to buy america's debt. Anyone else got a trillion spare? :D

  • Goodall is an excellent musician and presenter. Shame he sides with communist dictatorships.

  • What is the name of the main Cuban piece at the start , and who performed it please?

  • Gracias!

    Hasta la victoria siempre!
