Professional Black Women think materialism is ok

Materialism is an issue whether you can afford or not afford luxury items. Materialism implies that you happiness is being controlled by corporate America.

I have nothing against professional black women probably because growing up I was always around black corporate men/women/business owners/etc. Aside from being a success in her career field and showing off with extravagance alot of women have nothing to really offer so they over compensate. But the same can be applied to men too. I liken it to monkey see monkey do.

i agree. i just think the issues is more of an problem with the women. a man can be as materialistic as he wants to be but he and society knows the responsibility that he must have to his wifre and or family. what clear cut financial responsibilities do the women have for the family? none. so she can spend recklessly and fulfill all of her material fantasies. They need the man on "their level" so that their income can support their desires.

I love them, but most BW pride themselves on being difficult. & what I find so funny, is anytime you point out anything wrong with a BW, she labels you as a BW basher,especially here on youtube.

I drive a truck that is not old or new but I had a black woman tell me she only dates guys with new cars ............... I would rather drive my paid off truck then pay a bank for a new model. Black women are materialistic because they hate themselves and need the comfort.

Black people feel this overwhelming need to show off how well they're doing, especially to other black people. Interestingly, alot of us will have a new Lexus (leased) and be living in an apartment that costs less per month than the car does. Fake it until you make it I guess... but do such people ever REALLY make it? Nope.

If they can afford it, then why not? Now, I don't agree with women going and making men buy them things. That's stupid. Growing up, my female family members instilled in me that if I wanted something expensive, etc., I have to get a good job and buy it for myself. I like nice things, but I don't expect anyone to buy me something expensive.

When I see a materialistic woman it just makes me think I don't have the same values as this person so there's a fundamental difference in the way that we're going to see things in that regard. I put some big money on debts every month so while my net worth will go up by more than 10K a year once it's paid and I keep saving. Some of the same women getting all the fancy stuff are slowly going broke but I'm the simpleton for paying cash and improving my bottom line.
