In this episode Willard discusses the need to measure the progress we make in our lives by comparing our growth to where we have come from, not to where we desire to be. Often our vision of where we are going is a vision of "perfection" and we easily miss the amazing distinctions along the way when we are not measuring the progress.

  • good info esp since later today i will be visiting a young woman in jail who should be released soon and for whom i may be providing shelter while she is on probation but that would happen only if she is given wrap around services. the past 20 years her life as been terrible. at age 10 she was tied up while her mom was raped, shot, and killed. she was raped in foster care, soon after that at age 16 she decided living in the street was her best option where she's mostly been the past 15 years.
