Noahs arc rescue dogs, Twiggy's story

Twiggy was found as we arrived home on Camposol in our drive way She had squeezed through our gates to find some scraps of food in our black waste bags. She was the most pathetic sight we have witnessed. She was shaking uncontrollably, and did not have the strength left in her withered legs to stand unaided. As we approached her, she decided to just give up and submit to us totally by lying down on her side. Her expression said it all. How a dog in this emaciated state can still be drawing breath is extraordinary.

Since her life was clearly in imminent danger, we rushed her to the vet for an emergency check. This revealed that she was clear of any of the life threatening deceases, but was so thin that we were told to only give her the tiniest of meals, 4 times a day, in order not to shock her system. She has just spent her first night being cared for by us, and she is the most lovable adorable little girl that you could imagine.

All she wants to do is to be close to you and have some kind of body contact. During the first few hours we sat with her while she slept, she would often put her paw out to touch you just to make sure that we were still there. I guess after what must have been the most desperate of experiences she wanted to check that she wasn't dreaming!

Because of her condition she wil need some good foster care for a couple of weeks she appears to have been house trained, as she does ask to go outside, (although very quietly) Can you help TWIGGY? If so, please telephone Andrea on 699 352 818.

She is so blessed to have been guided by God's angels to your yard. Her entire body oozes the joy & love she feels. Every animal I've ever had in my 55 years has been a stray or rescue. They just seem to know that you have saved them, & the love they give back is a wonder to behold. God bless all of you for the work you do! If my home wasn't on the verge of foreclosure, I'd send money. But my prayers are the best I can offer right now. There is a special place in heaven for you for certain.

The part where Twiggy runs up and down for the first time is the greatest moment, it brought tears to my eyes, thanks again for sharing this wonderful happy ending :)

Rescuing one dog does not make a world of difference....but it does make a world of difference for that dog !

Twiggy is fine now very happy girl who runs and skips and jumps and bounces every day on her walks.

I see her regularly as she is only a few houses away, and shee looks very well.

Its interesting but after you care for the dog when it is in need the dog gives back ten times when it is healthy!Your lifestyle becomes healthier you live longer you become a beter person! Dogs that have been neglected make the best dogs!My dog will lick my pantleg knowing I have a cut under my jeans..It should not be as easy to get a pup as buying one..Great vid!

Actually it's ma'am, but that's ok. Sir/ma'am, doesn't matter - it was a sincere & heartfelt statement. It's people like you who restore my faith in the human race. The world is a better place because of you and people like you. I get a lot of eye rolling when I get on a rant about the plight of animals on the planet today, but for my whole life I have passionately loved them & believe that they deserve as much love & kindness as we can give them.
