  • :question at about 2:50 there apers 2 lines in which there`s a hebrew letter you pronounce like ``r`` in french but are we supposed to know it in advance, even if, so far, since lesson 1, we haven`t encountered it; is it the `resh`` i don`t know hebrew at all; i just heard it & sorry my key board`s question mark doesn`t work! but thanks! i wish i get a reply though and i mean it dear professor!

  • I think i did make a mistake with introducing a letter that hadn't been taught. Sorry about that.

  • @mahvachcheidani About the letter RESH.Keep in mind that Hebrew has been spoken 3700 years.A Jewish family living in Germany moving to France would change their Hebrew accent in 2 generations.If the family moved on to Morocco,it would again change.Climate,population,etc effects accents.Hebrew in Israel in 1970 had a RESH that rolled.Today its almost like an American "R".Non religious Jews here mostly know English & tied to media eat & dream America style it effected speech,dress,manners,etc.
