@S1MONM its not something you have to go to vet school to learn. Most people do it their selfs instead of taking it to a vet. I am a Vet Tech/Biology/Pre Vet student and we learned this is my first Vet Tech intro class. Most people who go to Vet school know how to do this way before they get to vet school. Most of the time the Vet's tech will do this and not the vet. Just thought I'd mention that, not trying to be rude or anything.

My cousin worked as a vet for nearly 20yrs, but last year was arrested on animal cruelty charges.
It turns out he unnecessarily put down potentially hundreds of animals over the years, diagnosing them terminally ill when in fact they were just suffering from minor, fully treatable ailments. He would give the owners nauseatingly ‘sympathetic’ talks about how lethal injection was “the best, kindest thing we can do”.
His reasons for doing this were unclear- he remained silent during his trial.
