This is not as much a technique as an awareness problem.
This technique does not teach you how to "escape" a RNC but rather how to prevent it.

You are correct, this technique is intended to stop a RNC before it can be completely applied. There is no escape from a RNC once its sunk in deep. You go out too quickly. Prevention is your best option
