Recently released a Sacred Chant CD, and would love to share it with all of you who've been so supportive of my dancing. Here's a link to listen: http://soundcloud.com/jai-jagdeesh/sets/i-am-thine Enjoy!

NATANAM ADINAR ~
Lyrics: The poem which tells the story was written by Gopalakrishna Bharati ~
Choreographer: Rukmini Devi ~
About: This dance is a Kirtanam describing a famous event in the mythology of the great temple at Chidambaram, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. It is believed that the temple marks the location where the Lord Shiva himself manifested to a group of devotees to perform the cosmic Tandava, the dance of destruction and creation.

  • hi! great job! it takes skill and courage to go and perform something like this on the streets! is there a way i could download this song?? thank you :)

  • @jaina617: Thanks for your support! I don't see the usual "download" or "purchase" link for the music on this video, which is something that has appeared on my other videos. So I don't think there is a way to download it. Sorry!

  • Fantastic .....and elegant..........and stylish. I FELT IN LOVE WITH YOU IN JUST 2 MINUTES. WOULD YOU LIKE TO PERFORM THE SAME SHOW ON THE STREETS AND SQUARES OF FAMOUS ITALIAN TOWNS LIKE ROMA, VENEZIA, MILANO AND FIRENZE (ROME, VENICE, MILAN, FLORENCE)?

  • @FrancescoCasta: Thank you so much!! And, to answer your question: yes, yes, yes, yes and yes! :)

  • If you love art with as much passion as you do it does not matter whether it is the middle of the road or wherever nothing can distract or take away the concentration and love for what you are doing.

A godliness is there and a sense of trying to do it with perfection and passion is there GOOD LUCK

  • @akashi3000: Thank you for the support!! You're great! :) And to answer your question: I chose to perform in an open-air market because I felt it was a wonderful opportunity to share the beauty of Indian culture with people who would not otherwise have a chance to experience it. And I believe that the more we know about each other's cultures, the more we will be able to create peace on this planet!

  • Graceful movements... good luck to you.

  • Wonderful performance. Incredible . The mudras , the poise , but if you don't mind me telling u this . Please polish the fast beats and the mudras what I mean is I found a few fast steps where in the mudras and the beats were too hurriedly put across .... Trust it was one of best performances . I loved it
