This part includes the beginning of the game up to the first boss (Ridley doesn't count :P),Spore Spawn. In the original, the first boss was that grey Chozo guardian, but in here you have to fight the plant boss first.
If somebody's interested, this is my 3rd time playing through this game. I just love it so much! But I still can't remember all the things and places where you have to go.

This is an awesome hack of the game "Super Metroid" made by drewseph0011. It changes the whole world, except the space station in the beginning. The game itself is much longer, more complicated and more difficult than the original. But the map isn't the only thing that was changed, some of the physics are also different now. Some examples:

-the falling speed is increased
-there's a bomb-system which acts just like in the Metroid Prime games
-to use the Screw Attack, you have to keep pressing the Run button
-picking up a Missile expansion only gives you 2 more missiles, and a Super Missile expansion only 1

  • @DefenderDT I recorded this with a cracked version of Hypercam 2 (if it wasn't a crack, there would be a a white field with "Unregistered Hypercam 2" on the screen all the time). With the right settings it's a very good program actually.

I never made a .zst movie to be honest and I'm used to Hypercam 2 for a long time now, so I'm not interested. But still thanks for telling me!

  • Hey BK, I really do love the work you put into this video.

But what recording software are you using?

Because if you want to drop that hissing sound you can pull the audio/video direct from your SNES Emulator using Mencoder. If you wanna do that, I can help you out. Especially since after that you won't need to re-edit for your commentary (There is none).

It's super easy, and it works off of the same principals as making a .zst movie. Hit me up if you wanna know!
