Today we are going to show you part number A30901 from SportRack. This is their 2 bicycle rack designed for 1-1/4 and 2 inch receiver hitches. Now for the 1-1/4 inch receiver it does have to be a class 2 receiver hitch. We will go ahead and show you the features and what is really nice about this bicycle rack. We will go ahead and start by installing it in our 2 inch receiver hitch. It is pretty easy. Instead of a hitch pin, it comes with a bolt. You pull this safety clip out and it just unscrews like a normal bolt. Then you just slide it in aligning the holes before you reinstall the bolt. You go ahead and tighten it down with a 3/4 inch wrench. This bolt acts like a anti rattle device that makes the entire thing one solid assembly now. OK, once we have our bolt installed, we will install our safety pin just to make sure if it comes loose it will not come all the way out.

OK, now we can go ahead and unfold the rack, it is pretty nice. Now let us go ahead and pull out these two outside pins here and just let the arms fall down. And then you re-install the pin to it from bouncing around, same thing for the other side. Before we can load a bike on, I want to show you a couple of nice details about this rack. First off, the wells where the wheels go are pretty easy to adjust with a simple knob here that slides back and forth. It is pretty easy. We will leave it loose so we can put our bike on and make our adjustments as needed. And then also, the clamps that hold the bike down work the same way. They are full adjustable and just use a knob to tighten them all up and to loosen it and you can move it basically at will. It fits virtually all size frames and bikes out there. We also need to loosen our straps, so we will do that before we put the bike on. It is pretty simple. We will go ahead and install our bike. Put it in the little wells there.

And again, take a minute to make sure you have it the way you want it and then go ahead and just tighten it down, snug them up. And then, we will bring our middle post in and just go ahead and lay that in place. And then we will go ahead and pin up our center post here. Now that we have our bike temporarily in place we will just go ahead and cinch it down. Just push it down and then tighten the knob on this hook here and your bike it virtually not going to go anywhere. Lets go ahead and do our wheel straps now. Over the rung here, buckle, and then just back over. This is like a little extra safety chain basically. And again the same thing for the back tire. We will actually put on our second bike that has a smaller frame than the first one to show its adjustablility. As you can see, we need to stick on our second bike. However, it would be easier if this was on top instead of this one, but since this bike frame is a little bit taller than the other one generally you want to put the heavier bike towards the vehicle and the lighter bikes out back.

You can actually switch around as needed for different sized frames which is actually pretty handy. Just put it in the wheel wells, make any adjustments that you need to, and just go ahead and pull up our hook and push it back down into place. OK, and there you have it, two bikes properly stored and you are ready for your road trip. Alright, and there you have it for part number A30901 from Sport Rack, the two bike bicycle rack that is a wheel carrier for 1-1/4 and 2 inch receiver hitches.
