During the November 9th 2010 live episode of Film 2010, a BBC backstage member of staff can be heard swearing in the background:

"...Oh, are you scared of his fans? And it's like, No! I couldn't give a f*** about a load of... "

Youd think theyd get someone who went to film school or who understands the creative process in making film; who understands narrative and plot and can actually discuss what they think the director was trying to convey, and whether they were successful in doing so.

But instead they give us an ignoramus whos so intellectually challenged she makes Philip Schofield look like Isaac Newton. She doesnt "review" films she merely states whether she liked it or not. FUCKING AIR HEAD.

Trouble with the new "Film.." is that it is rubbish. But I actually really like Winkleman, and I find her quite likeable on it, but she's utterly useless as a reviewer. I suppose her angle is as an "average person" to review things in a less dry, experty way - which is probably a noble enough idea, but you don't get the impression after watching it that you're in the company of people who know anything about films. I never rated Ross either, mind - wish Kermode had his own show.
