Fully functioning 1/3rd scale model of a 1929 Hercules drag saw built by Cliff Ward. The full size drag saws cut logs up to three feet in diameter...the model in this video is cutting a 6" log. Model is powered by an Economy hit & miss engine built from casting kit by Joe Tochtrop. Kit for drag saw portion of model is available from Wismer Machine of Sellersville, PA. • cool drag saw, are you going to start selling them?

  • This Drag Saw is available as a casting kit from Wismer Machine of Sellersville, PA (215) 257-5081. Ask for Stan, Paul, or Jackie, and tell them Cliff Ward sent you! The engine in the drag saw is from a casting kit by Joe Tochtrop of San Fransico, CA.

  • The wood battery box contains an electronic buzzcoil ignition, details of which can be seen at: buzzcoilbatterybox(dot)com

  • I say pump, but it's up to you, this saw set up looks fab!

  • What a nice saw! I just ordered the Economy kit and need to decide on running a pump (from Joe) or a saw... decisions decisions

  • very nice set up

  • Need to sharpen that misery whip.. LOL nice model though. I've never seen a drag saw run before.

  • A fine model, a credit to your model engineering skills
