I agree with your position however the US also has a very active shadow government. Bush alluded to this himself. And we in the public don't know the individuals that this shadow government consist of. I don't think that people in government and secret societies are intentionally bad maybe they are just misguided.

I should clarify my position:

Do i believe there are powerful institutions out there that have an agenda for absolute power? Yes. I could allude to the Bilderburg group for example. Yet, they're just a group of powerful individuals who are pushing their ideations upon much more powerful men. Governments like USA's is grounded in checks and balances so that's not very reasonable to ascertain that this conspiracy has permeated all sects their various institutions of Government.
