I agree Mac's bass work on Paperback Writer is awesome and was way ahead of its time..sadly in 66 people didnt key in on it like they did later so people didnt get what a genius on the bass he was until years later..in fact many people didnt think the Beatles played nearly as well as Hendrix Cream Zep etc. Looking back McCartneys bass work is the very best of all IMHO

Man, when the shit kicks in at 0:16 with those overdriven Vox tremelo guitars, Ringo's narly drums and the tambourine, that's all she wrote - brilliant '60s acid-tinged pop. I've been listening to the Beatles for years and years, and they never cease to astound me.
