1992-09-25 Blake Loves Ross Part 2

25 Sep 1992 (Part 2) - Ross is honored by Blake's declaration and wants her to know how important she is to him. Blake feels foolish for misunderstanding and wants to leave. Ross tries to explain that there is more than one answer to "I love you," but Blake thinks Ross has reservations about loving her, like everyone else in her life. Ross points out that "I love you" is rarely said in unison by two partners. He thanks Blake for her words, but says he's not there yet. Before he says it, Ross wants to be sure of his feelings for Blake away from politics. Blake can only see a yes or no answer and insists that Ross forget this embarrassing incident as she rushes out. Later Hamp stops by to talk to Ross about getting more information about David. In return, Ross asks for Hamp's help to send flowers as an apology. Roger stops by the Bauers to see if Blake is enjoying her gift. Blake latches on to Roger's attention. At WSPR, David takes the pictures of Ross and Blake from Gilly's desk and plants them on Roger's desk. Blake and Roger return from a thrilling test drive, and Blake comments on the respect that Roger commands. Roger notices that flowers were delivered for Blake, but she is still upset with her "secret admirer" and implies the relationship was over before it ever really began.

LOL Yeah Ross did put his foot in it at times. (He's got some dumbass moments in later years too.) But I can also see his pov. Blake assumed the car was from him, and Ross had to figure out her gushing asap. Ross was torn between his professional ambition and this young woman that he didn't realize he was falling in love with. It takes him about 2-3 more months to finally realize the depth of his feelings for her.

I'm getting teary-eyed watching the Michael Zaslow scenes....what great scenes with him and Blake! It's been a long time. I miss him.

Agree with Steffi about Ross!! He could be such an idiot. He's a good guy but he needed a smack there.
