Way to get Z with trig functions w/o recognizing a 30/60/90 triangle. Since we're looking for Z, & you have the oppasite side & the adjacent side (sohcahtoa), you'de use arctan to find the angle. tan(pheta) = O/A = 1/(sqrt(3)). Now use arctan, arctan(pheta) = 1/(sqrt(3)) = 30. Answer is 30 degrees.

@webeee01 use your thumb and forefinger to gauge how long the side w/ a length of 6 is. Pivot your forefinger onto the tip of the unknown side without moving your thumb. You'll notice they are the same length. Add up all the sides, 6*5=30

@WellConditionedChimp I dont understand ?

This one can be solved in under 5 seconds. It's drawn to scale, so just use your fingers to compare the known side to the unknown side. They are exactly the same length. Ta-da.
